Weatherised is a specialist provider of Polar expedition training, guiding, expeditions and media production. Based above the Arctic circle in Northern Norway, Weatherised is well situated to provide unique and challenging experiences designed to test, educate, entertain and inspire would-be polar travellers.

Our team of guides have a diverse range of skills and experience, able to train individuals and teams on the considerations and complexities of winter travel in mountainous, glacier and polar environments. Whether you wish to experience a cold environment for the first time, participate on your own expedition or would like some prolonged exposure to the cold, please do make contact.

Scott Gilmour of Weatherised has participated in numerous expeditions and worked in some of the coldest climates on Earth including the Geographic North Pole, Kungselden, Swedish Lapland, Canadian High Arctic and Lake Baikal, Siberia. He has twice held the record for the fastest traverse of Lake Baikal in 2018 and 2019 (11d 15hrs 28m). In 2011 he created the Spine® Race, an event which has grown to become one of the most respected endurance challenges on the planet.

His photography has been used by magazines, brands and large institutions for covers, campaigns and in advertising. Scott has been a Brand Ambassador for PNY Technologies Europe since 2010.
